Las Vegas Hotel Deals: Hotels in Vegas Aren’t as Expensive as You Think

Las Vegas is the most exciting city in America and it does not have to be expensive. If you use the LasVegasHotelDeals.us online hotel reservations site you can find the lowest rates available on a great hotel in Vegas.
You may be shocked to find how much less expensive hotels in Las Vegas are when compared to hotel rooms in other big cities such as New York City. Maybe it’s because of the huge amount of hotels there that the prices are lower. Or perhaps it is due to the fact that the hotels in Las Vegas are in the same buildings as casinos and the owners of the hotel figure they will make the money back from you there!
When I visit Las Vegas I make sure I only bring a small amount of money that I can deal with losing and I promise myself that I won’t visit a ATM while I’m there! People who don’t stick to this “no ATM” rule may find themselves quite a bit poorer on the flight home.
I am such a cheap man that I like to play the cheapest slot machines while getting free drinks from the beautiful ladies (who are always scantily clad.) With these cheap slot machines you can lose money so slowly that it’s sort of like you’re just paying for the drinks.
Of course it’s a lot more exciting to play the table games but you must be aware that you can easily lose large sums of money at those card tables quite quickly even at the smallest tables. I once lost about $150 in 30 minutes at a $5 blackjack table.
One other thing I want to mention to those of you planning a trip to Vegas. It’s extremely hot there during the summer. Of course you’ll be spending most of your time indoors so if you are not such a wimp like I am about being crazy hot during those few moments you are outside I guess you could go in Vegas even in July or August!
Other city specific hotel sites you may want to check out are LA Hotel Deals and Chicago Hotel Deals. These online hotel reservation sites check rates at all of the hotel sites so you always get the best price.

Furnished Apartments – Advantages: Saving Time And Frustration

For lessors, there can be many benefits to moving into a place like this. The list of furnished apartments – advantages can be quite long. Living this way can be both convenient and time saving. At some point, everyone has moved and wished they did not own quite so much stuff. This is one way to avoid some of the hassles.
When moving, the less you have to pack and lug with you, the better. If you have to take furniture under consideration, even more problems crop up. Some large, bulky pieces can be hard to move in and out. They can be heavy and require several people to lift. You have to worry about possible damage to expensive pieces. This can all be one headache after another.
However, if you rent a furnished abode, there is that much less you have to worry about. There is no need to cart heavy furniture with you. All you need to pack is your clothes and personal belongings. The rest of the items stay put, waiting for the next tenant. Packing and unpacking is much faster and easier. This also means you save significantly on buying the various items of furnishings.
This can save significantly on expenses. You will not need to rent a large moving truck, your own car or a small one will do. A professional moving company can be quite costly and this completely removes them from the picture. This also means there are less worries. You do not have to be afraid of strangers stealing or breaking your belongings.
There is also an advantage when leasing these residences. Many of them are geared toward people who might be there for only a few months. This means you are not always locked into a long-term lease that can last a year or more. You can arrange to stay for whatever time period is necessary.
This is great for people who are not sure that they want to stay in a certain area. You can explore different places, before you make a final decision. They are also of benefit to people who move around frequently for their work.
If something accidentally breaks or wears out, you will also not be responsible for fixing it. Just like with the plumbing and wiring in your apartment, it is the owner’s responsibility. A quick phone call to report the issue is all the time you have to invest. They are responsible for needed maintenance or repairs. A broken chair or tilting table need not cost you a cent.
This means there are many furnished apartments – advantages that you should take under consideration. Choosing one can save you both time and money. They are wonderful for extended stays in certain areas that you are not intending to be permanent. Some are fully furnished and some are semi-furnished, so you can pick what works best for you. The price will vary depending on the area and items supplied. You can easily find one to suit your style, budget and make your life easier.
If you’re looking for Corporate Housing Toronto, you should consider Toronto furnished apartments; they’re perfect for Toronto short term rental. As well, requesting for an extended stay is fairly easy. With furnitures ready for you, you can just walk in with a luggage.

The Las Vegas Shows

My all time favorite show is Cirque du Soleil’s Mystere. It takes place during one of your most bizarre and wonderful dreams.
It begins with some classic entertainment. Two clowns come out and play tricks on each other before the audience. The show starts off with a very light hearted note and helps to pass the time and while the audience is being seated, and if either of these jokers tries to direct you to your seat, hold on your tickets or it may remember where you are actually seated for they will take you on a wild goose chase.
The real magic and the show starts. The music so beautiful and haunting that you will be absolutely mesmerized, and there are acrobats and bicyclists also. There is always something to see, which would be interesting and no matter in which direction you look. You can also see athletic skill unlike anything you have ever experienced and the sets and costumes are breath-taking and beautiful.
The whole thing does seem like some dream or it would like you have just stepped into the mind of Salvadore Dali. While there are graceful ballerinas and gigantic Snails, with their dashing heroes and total buffoons. The half time you will be mesmerized and the other half time you will be laughing at yourself, as the clowns present there distract you from the ever changing scene changes that happen right in front of your eyes.
Make this one of your first. If you have never seen a Cirque du Soleil show before. If you have seen the others, this one is still worth going to. It is not the Beatlemania of Love but instead it seems to be the perfect cameo of what a Cirque show men. I love this show because, it is still a big production, and has a wonderful sense. It is like that if you are being privy to a private show into a magical world.
The Cirque show is one of the most appropriate, and if you are bringing your children, they will enjoy it. It’s with the mystical quality is one of the and that will enchant them and till now is definitely as a “kids show.” The performances and the experience are all of top quality which can be definitely be appreciated by all aged people..

The History Of Reno’s Mapes Hotel
November 3, 2009 by Ross Everett
The Mapes Hotel in Reno, Nevada met its demise on Superbowl Sunday of 2000 when 75 pounds of explosives packed inside the structure’s support columns brought it to the ground. The controlled demolition came despite years of effort by a number of groups within the community to preserve the building with lawsuits, redevelopment proposals, and grass roots lobbying efforts. The National Turst for Historic Preservation even took up the cause, challenging the destruction in a lawsuit that eventually reached the Nevada Supreme Court.
While the logic and necessity of demolishing the Mapes is very questionable, one thing that is certain is that the hotel was an important part of Northern Nevada history. The Mapes opened in 1947 and with it ushered in a new era for casino gambling and the state of Nevada. Despite some historical revisionism that suggests that the modern era began in Las Vegas with Bugsy Siegel’s famed Flamingo, the Mapes was actually the first building in America to have a hotel, casino and live entertainment under the same roof. The Mapes attracted countless celebrities who’d make it their home when business brought them to Northern Nevada–this included movie stars like Clark Gable, TV stars like the cast of ‘Bonanza’ and political power brokers like infamous anti-Communist crusader Joseph McCarthy.
During the ‘Rat Pack’ era of the 50’s and 60’s it became along with the Cal-Neva Lodge in Lake Tahoe the place to be seen in Northern Nevada. The 11th floor, window walled Sky Room Lounge hosted performances by a roster of entertainment legends including Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Jr., Dean Martin, Louis Prima, Keely Smith, Milton Berle and Mae West. Downtown Reno struggled during the 1960’s and 70’s but the Mapes continued to prosper. The hotel finally closed in 1982, due to financial problems experienced by the Mapes Family brought about by their other Northern Nevada casino holdings.
Reno has yet to experience the sort of growth that has been seen in Southern Nevada, and for that reason the destruction of the Mapes is more open to debate than the hotel demolitions to the south. Even the demolition of The Sands–perhaps the most historically significant casino in the state–is hard to argue against given the inability of such a small property to compete in the current Las Vegas marketplace and in light of the value of the mid-strip real estate.
This is not the case in Reno, where land and buildings for development in virtually every casino area are abundant. The city argued that the land on which the Mapes stood was necessary for their redevelopment efforts–a somewhat absurd position given the realities of downtown Reno and the lack of any real development on the property since the demolition. Despite receiving a number of viable concepts for the Mapes Building, the City Redevelopment Authority rejected all of them and the Mapes was destined for demolition.
The behavior of the City Redevelopment Authority throughout the process has come into question. Overlooking the Truckee River, the hotel was perfectly placed between the downtown casino area and the riverfront district. In 1996, the city purchased the htoel and began accepting proposals for redevelopment. Despite receiving a number of proposals that made sense both in terms of their financial workability and positive impact on the downtown area, the City Redevelopment Authority nixed all of them and insisted that the hotel be razed.
Following the 2000 demolition, the lot remained vacant for over a year until a temporary ice skating rink was hastily constructed the following winter. The property has been improved and the rink is now permanent which, while not in itself a bad use for the land, further calls into question the efficacy of demolishing the structure. It would appear that the city had no clue what to do with the land, but for whatever reason wanted the building brought down. This has led to all sorts of conspiracy theories, from the City Development Agency having financial incentive to raze the hotel to rumors that the building was haunted and was destroyed to keep the Reno area from being overrun with paranormal activity. Whatever the reason for the decision, the city of Reno has lost a beautiful art deco treasure that played a significant part in the economic growth of the state.

Visiting Monteverde, Costa Rica

Monteverde, Costa Rica is a place where everyone needs to visit for many reasons. It’s in the mountains and offers breathtaking views. Monteverde is also home to many tours that range from horseback riding to zip lines.
A highly recommend thing to do is to experience zip lining while in Monteverde. At Extremo the staff will teach you a few tricks, attach you to the cable and send you on your way. By zip lining you can see above the canopy and fly 600 meters like superman.
Another way to see the canopy from above is by walking on the suspended bridges. Selvatura offers a great set views of the canopy. At Selvatura, you can also enjoy the hummingbird garden. Get ready, they will come within inches of you.
Costa Rica is a very diverse country and every area offers different flora and fauna. When in Monteverde, hike in one of the reserves. If you are lucky you might see toucans, monkeys or a sloth.
There are guides available for hire at each reserve. Some enjoy having a guide along so they can learn more about the plants and trees while having someone identify the animals. The guides have training in spotting animals that most can never see.
An interesting exhibit in Santa Elena is the Frog Pond. Inside you can walk around and see over 28 species of frogs. They even have the Red Eyed Tree Frog and the Poison Dart Frog.
For those who enjoy everything outdoors, try horseback riding with the company La Estrella. You can spend an hour, an afternoon or the day riding through the forest. The trails wind along the tops of the mountains. Be sure to watch the sunset over the Gulf of Nicoya.
Tours, tours and more tours. All fun, but make sure you make time to eat too. Some restaurants that serve great food for reasonable prices are: Morphos, Don Juan or for the most local spot try Donde Henry. For desert, stop at Stellas bakery, you will love it.
Lastly, another great place to stay or just for an afternoon tea is Hidden Canopy. The tree house hotel offers opportunities to sleep in the trees amongst the cloud forest, all the while in luxury. Why not treat yourself to a waterfall shower while in Costa Rica.
Holidays To Cuba.

At this stage you are probably totally persuaded that Cuba is the destination that you want to visit for your next holiday but you probably could do with some direction on the booking side of it . This might seem a little bit trivial but it is definitely not the case when it comes to organizing Cuba holidays.
The truth is that this Caribbean island is becoming ever more popular every year and this creates a problem for some travel organizers. Cuba is not a late booking destination, at least not if you are thinking of travelling in the so called high season.
The busiest seasons in Cuba falls within the months of July and August, the Easter period, Christmas and New year’s eve . November, December, January, February and March are extremely well-liked months particularly for travellers from Europe looking for the Tropic to avoid few days of depressing weather.
Quite frequently I get clients requesting me to arrange a holiday for them in the above mentioned months , and every so often the phone call comes to close to the date of travel. I can not tell you how frustrating this situation is . For one simple thing , I can not shine recommending a package holiday for the fact that the most interesting resorts and best hotels are completely sold out , and then I am left with the only honest answer I can give. “I am truthfully sorry but at this point there is nothing available that I feel comfortable recommending ”
If you want to stay in big resorts then there is not much to worry about. The difficulty presents it self when customers are interested in combining areas like Havana, Viales Valley, Las Terrazas, Cienfuegos, Trinidad and or Santiago de Cuba. cities like these with the exception of Havana are very difficult when it comes to hotel availabilities.
If what you want is to organise a tailor made Cuba holiday in a high season my guidance to you is to call at least 4 months prior to departure in order to secure not only the rooms in your preferred hotels but also the best fares from the airlines . If you regrettably did not find this article before and are planning a last minute tailor made holiday , the likelihood is something will be found for you but surely the odds of getting the best hotels are not bright
If you are travelling in the low season months you could call even few days before your departure date . Even so we feel very confident to put together the kind of itinerary that will fulfil your holidays
I truly hope you have found this article a useful resource and wish you the very best when visiting Cuba .
