Safety of a motorcycle rider is very important and this should be kept in mind while selecting riding clothes. You will get an array of riding clothes now in material, style or weight. You will find Indian Motorcycle jackets in leather both safe and trendy.

Helmets will provide protections for your head but you must also choose protective gear for certain other parts of your body which is vulnerable. Places like knee, ankle, shoulders, knuckles have thin skin covering over the bone which if wounded takes long time to heal. Therefore you will need protective covering for these areas too.

You have to select your riding garment keeping certain situations in mind. For example you may crash with your bike and slide along the road. In times like this you will need proper clothing which will protect your body by staying in its place. A jacket which is secured with a belly strap and a cuff fastener will stop the garment from sliding up the body.

Also consider road heat. If an article of clothing can merely take a cool iron it will melt on a hot road surface, and if it’s next to your skin, it will melt into your flesh. Sure, a jacket can be a pain if you stay in a warm climate, but you’ve probably heard the saying “It’s better to sweat than to bleed.”

The Indian Motorcycle jacket is made of leather, and is great looking enough that you’d probably wish for one even if you didn’t ride motorcycles. In close fitting, stone washed buffalo leather, this jacket has a quilted lining and stretch elbow patches for fit and durability.

You will find Indian Motorcycle brand mark on all the hardware placed on the jacket like zip etc. the sleeves are zippered with zips on the cuff to give it a fit according to your choice. The two front pockets and chest pockets are zipped too with a pocket in the interior of the jacket.

The rich brown colored jacket is very stylish with a diagonal front two way zipper putting a touch of extra class. The back is fitted out with a patch of quilted material to make it look even more chic.

The Indian Motorcycle jacket is so handy that it will always remain in fashion whether you are riding or not. In fact in cold weather this jacket can be very helpful and you would like to own this great looking jacket.

There are certain considerations when you purchase riding clothing. The first important thing to consider is its capacity to protect you. Next is the style and durability. When you buy an Indian motorcycle jacket you can find all three in large quantity in it and you can find it on the Zappos.com.

Indian motorcycle jackets are not only cool but give protection against extreme weatherwhen out on the road. If you want to read further about Indian gear, including Indian motorbike handlebars follow the hyperlinks.

If you are planning to go for a skiing or snowboarding trip and you still have not decided about your equipments, then buying the required gear seems to be the best option, but its cost is perhaps the major drawback. If you are a beginner in the sport, then getting the gear on rent is a much better option for you.

Renting the gear is also an affordable option for you, especially if you are not willing to spend a large amount on buying them. As carrying them in your car or plane is also a troublesome activity, you will also be saved from this if you rent the equipments. Plus, because human body is always prone to become thin or fat, you cannot afford to purchase one again and again and thus, renting the gear is a better choice. Keeping in mind all these points, hiring the skiing or snowboarding gear seems to be better than buying a new set.

Now that you have made your mind to hire the required gear for your sport, it would be wise to book it much before your scheduled trip. This is more necessary if you have chosen to go out during the peak season. Waiting till the last day may cause you a lot of inconvenience and hassle, as you will have to search around a lot for the perfect equipment as per your size and requirements.

If you have decided to rent the equipment at the mountain itself because you do not want to carry your gear all up to the mountain, you need to arrive at least an hour before you are planning to snowboard or ski. This will give you enough time to get your gear and fit in well. But if you are planning to rent it elsewhere, it is good to get the gear at least a day before your schedule.

The type of snowboard or ski equipment you should hire depends upon your body weight. The shoes that you rent should also be of the right size and gear should be of right weight.

When you sign the contract for renting the snowboard or ski equipments, you will also be offered insurance on the gear, which is usually one dollar per day. This means it will be around 3-4 dollars for a trip. This is a very low amount as compared to the cost you will have to pay in case you damage the ski or snowboard that you have rented.

All these tips will prove to be very helpful to decide which ski or snowboard equipments to rent, so that we can head towards our expedition all set.

The Ethics of Men’s Hats

May 21, 2009 by Chan Boldene

If you’re a man, you need to wear a hat. There, it’s out. Most of you have a fairly good idea about why it’s necessary for you to wear men’s hats (if you’re a man, that is).

Obviously some men just will never wear a hat. Ever. Some gentlemen are prima donnas in that way, and they think that a nice hat will muss up their wonderful flowing head of hair. I’ve never been able to understand that kind of thinking, but that’s a different story for a different day and time.

Similarly, many men will find that owning a single hat is just not an option. They’ll need to buy ten or twenty to fit the occasion.

I remember reading Theodore Geisel’s biography (Dr. Seuss) and he said that when he and other writers were stumped with writer’s block, with a twinkle in his eyes, Geisel would open the closet door and pull out a large selection of hats. He’d then say, “we need to put on our thinking caps. Choose one.” It’s a great story that illustrates the need for owning more than one hat.

The first thing I’d recommend is that you toss out all of your baseball caps, all of them! Our society is overwhelmed with baseball hats. How incredibly mundane! We need style and class.

So while I’m thinking of it, I’m coining a new slogan: Scrap the Ball Cap! Okay, perhaps it’s not the most innovative slogan in the world, but it makes the point. We can do much better than plain vanilla baseball caps.

I think the country music singers have it right. You’ll see many of them in some sort of cowboy hat. Those hats, too, have the potential of becoming monotonous (what if everyone wore cowboy hats? That would be equally as boring as the baseball caps, despite the twelve or twenty different ways you can wear a baseball cap on the noggin).

But that’s what makes the world an exciting place to live in. We have variety. We have a thousand different brands of toilet paper. Certainly we can be creative with the men’s hats that are sold and marketed in the stores. That’s what I think the problem is, marketing. And again, I digress.

How many Mary Frances creations do you think her collectors have? You won’t guess, but I’ll tell you: more than 30. This has been researched by fashion specialists. Can you imagine how it may be to make room for 30 bags storage?

Besides the great jewel bags, Mary Frances put her creativity to work and this was materialized in the Adobe Sunset and Love Story accessories like cosmetic mirrors, pill boxes and business cards holders. All these are fairly inexpensive.

Mary Frances and her bags appeared in TV shows at CBS, in magazines such as Diablo and Hollywood Daily and in many other publications online or offline. Thus she had the chance to communicate with her customers, with the audience who buys her purses for their collections.

One of her excellent talent is in designing jeweled clutches. Such clutches by Mary Frances were featured at the SHM Oscar Suite. They are exceptional, stylish and fun. Every woman would like one in her wardrobe. Such clutches fit for party outfits as well as for casual events.

The idea of this article is to see how if a Mary Frances fan can love also Coach bags. Coach is another important clothing accessories manufacturer, but the style is a bit different. Coach purses have less bells and whistles, but they are also as elegant as can be.

It’s a truth that Coach bags come in collections, a no lady buys one and stops. If you bought one, you’ll want to have them all. If this is a bit too expensive for your budgets, you’ll want at least two Coach and two Mary Frances bags for the beginning.

How To Utilize Parenting Resources Effectively?

April 4, 2009 by Kate Wilber

Being bogged down by stress and pressure is normal and understandable if you’re a working mother- we know that being a work-at-home mom has never been easy. All that family pressure, child-rearing dilemmas, and issues of management are guaranteed to take their toll on you soon enough. But don’t feel tempted to quit your work, throw it all up in the air, and sign up for psychological therapy, if it all seems too much. You can’t afford to let your frustration and anger get to you if you’re a work-at-home mom, it will be evident in your behavior, and will affect your husband and children. Learn how to manage your time better, and utilize your parenting resources effectively. We give you some suggestions.

Delegation of responsibility in the family is a must. Work-at-home jobs are time-consuming and stressful; you will need extra efforts to help you with house work. Before bedtime every night, have a family cleanup, where every family member can help to put things back in their right place. Remember: “A place for everything, and everything in its place.” Supervise your children to see that girls’ clothing goes in the right cupboard, and boys’ clothing in its separate cupboard. Older children can assist with the folding of their laundry, and even make their beds – not only are they helping save precious time, they are getting a sense of independence. Involve your toddlers by asking them to pick up their toys.

Praise your children when everything’s done. Ask for your husband’s help with setting the dining table and clearing it. Explain to him which plates and glasses and cutlery to use, he will get the hang of it after a while. Don’t criticize and don’t be negative. Avoid comments like “Oh no! Not like that!” or “You did it wrong again!” like the plague. You must admire him for his efforts and support.

For all moms, and especially work-at-home moms, mornings are always a difficult time, because once the children are sent off to school, and the husband to work – they must sit down with their own work. You can help make mornings less hectic and rushed, by planning ahead- make sure your kids’ clothes ironed, their school-bags packed, from the night before. Plan the breakfast menu – sometimes-precious time is wasted deciding what to cook. Make a mental plan to yourself: “Cereal on Monday, Pancakes on Tuesday, Eggs on Wednesday, etc” Go into the kitchen the night before to see that all the ingredients are ready for the next day’s breakfast. Try to keep the elaborate menus for the holidays, when you have time to spare. But for the weekdays, when you are exhausted from work, and need to cook dinner, use undemanding recipes that require little time, and few ingredients. However, compromising on nutrition is not an option, avoid convenience foods, as much as you can, as in the long run, these are unhealthy.

Make use of timesaving devices like microwaves, washing machines, and vacuum cleaners. After all, they’re here to make our life easier, aren’t they? You can ask your little ones to help out with putting the washing out to dry, loading the dishwasher, or even wiping the plates dry. So you see, with a little creativity and a well-planned and executed routine, you can manage your time much better!

Enrich Your Relations By Making Everyone Happy

April 4, 2009 by Kate Wilber

Life’s tough when you’re a work-at-home mom. Not only are you running the household, but you also have to manage work. On top of that, you must oversee your kids’ homework, run all the chores, manage the household help if there’s any, and generally look after the little nitty-gritty things that make up our daily lives. We understand that it might get too much, and that sooner or later, you’ll find yourself screaming silently and pounding walls, when your family’s not happy with your efforts. However, there are ways to reach compromise, and to ensure that everyone’s satisfied.

Utilise your parenting resources. If you have a friend in the neighbourhood with a kid of the similar age, try for baby-sitting, for a few hours. She can take your kid one day of the week, both kids can play with each other, and you do the same, for another day of the week. This leaves you free for some time, to deal with pending chores and other kinds of work. Remember to give your children quality time. Your work-at-home job supplements the family income, but it shouldn’t interfere with your children’s needs. Play with your kids, read to them, and talk to them about their day. It’s not important how much time you spend with them, or what you do – what counts is being with them, when they need you, and even when they don’t need you. As a mother, you need to show your love.

Set aside time for your husband- give him priority. Do things together as a couple- a happy marriage can light up a home, and it will help your children’s overall well-being too. Go for walks when you’re free, cook dinner together, and spend time together when the kids have gone to bed.

Ensure that family travel is done – it’s a must – the family that travels together, stays together. You see, it’s not necessary to travel to Paris or Switzerland, or other such exotic locales- sometimes you could just take a weekend off, head to some place on the outskirts, a simple location can work wonders too. What counts is that your family is together, and doing things together. Keep your work at arm’s length during that holiday, ensure that work-related calls and emails do not interrupt you. We’d recommend that you finish all pending work before heading out, upon the vacation- that way, you won’t be worrying about that document you didn’t finish, or the deadline you didn’t meet.

Shopping together is a good suggestion as well. Take your children along – they can help in the selection of girls’ clothing and boys’ clothing. If you have an older child, and have a baby as well, your older kid can help you with buying the baby products. Listen to his/her suggestions, and this is also a good way you can teach him about basic parenting. When money permits, buy something nice for the family. That videogame might be just a tad expensive, but haven’t your children been really supportive all throughout, helping with chores and doing their own homework? Give occasional rewards, to keep everyone happy.

Different Ways To Enhance Your Time Management

April 3, 2009 by Kate Wilber

When you’re a work-at-home mom, it’s ordinary and perfectly accepted that you’ll feel bogged down with all the pressure and start feeling tremendously claustrophobic. The feeling of annoyance, frustration and helplessness is understandable, work-at-home jobs are tough, but there are ways you can enhance your time management, and exploit the parenting resources at hand properly.

When you sit down with your work, have a definite plan in your mind, with some definite purpose. Consider the work you want to finish, and work towards it. Ensure that the day isn’t spent haphazardly. It’s useful to keep a notebook handy, with a to-do list- this will stop you from checking useless mails and surfing the Internet – you will remember what you need to finish by the end of the day, and this will keep your nose to the grindstone. Try to outsource work – you could hire an assistant if you find the work getting too much for you.

If you find the work pressure getting too much, and hampering the time with your kids, you could hire a baby-sitter or some other kind of help, who would keep your children occupied while you work – or while you try to get the pressure down. It’s a win-win situation for everyone- you can do your work, the baby-sitter’s earning her money, and your kids are entertained! While you’re working, group similar activities together- do all your research, keep it ready, then start writing – that’s just an example. Don’t check your email all day, or spend precious hours on social networking sites- however addictive they are. List changes you need to make to a particular document or spreadsheet, and then get started. You see, by planning ahead- you can save precious time.

Remember to maximise your use of technology- try and get wireless Internet, and a laptop if possible. This will make drastic improvements in your spending time with your children – if they are playing on the roof, you can take your laptop up, and be with them even while working. Use auto-responders, mailing lists, and other kinds of resources to maximize your professional output, and your business. Use Online Messengers and Chat to keep in touch with people all day, and stay abreast of new developments at work. Be as professional as possible, and aim for maximum efficiency. Multi-tasking might be difficult at first, but you shall get used to it, and ultimately, comprehend its benefits.

Don’t try to be a Supermom though. Resist that temptation. You need to stay realistic, and understand what priority lies where, and how much time you must spend on what. Think about the areas of importance. If it’s a choice between your work and taking care of your sick infant, obviously, the latter comes first, always. Work is all very well, it supplements the family income – you can get benefits like family travel, buying baby products, etc. – but remember that family comes first.
