A much desired beach restoration mission started in late January in Playa del Carmen, Mexico has been completed slightly ahead of schedule much to the delight of beachgoers and tourists.

Over the last 20 years Playa del Carmen has found itself in a regular seasonal path of a number of tropical storms and hurricanes which have battered the wide beaches in the area. The plan which has enhanced approximately 2.5 miles of seashore was finished this preceding week, February 18th, 2010.
