April 30, 2009 Filed under Destinations
In Boise, Idaho there will be an event entitled Art and Roses. It is a gallery of fine art featuring the talented and most distinguished artists of Idaho. The proceeds of the event will be for the benefit of the Julia Davis Rose Garden Fund.
Fine arts are depicted as the classic form of painting. Works done by great masters such as Monet and Cezanne are considered as fine arts. An example of a fine art style is the chiaroscuro or the style perfected through the play of light and shadow. Fine arts is also a form of status symbol especially during the 18th century when only families of royalty and noble origins can afford a single a painting by a famous painter. Fine arts are a pricey commodity especially during the 18th to 19th century when only the royals and families of noble origins can afford it. A painter is considered as a high paying career during those times.
The Arts and Roses show is a fine art show and not an arts and crafts festival. Only the residents of Boise are encouraged to attend and submit their works. Sculptured works and framed photographs are also in store at the show. Food and beverages are distributed to the attendees, alongside special dance and song performances to further enrich the experience. Entrance is free of charge.
Food and beverages will be served during the show. Expect your stomach to be filled by mouthwatering gourmets prepared by Idaho restaurant owners. Chefs and restaurateurs will create an entertainment scene as they provide the hungry viewers with tips on how to cook their famous recipes. It is not only art and painting techniques that you will learn here but you will also gain additional knowledge on the culinary world.
If you love visual arts then I suggest you go and check out this show. See for yourself how the professionals do it and be amazed at their awesome talents.
